21 February 2012 - Praise & Prayer from Robert & Dara Peh

“O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him. O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear Him” (Psalm 34:8-9, KJV).

Dear brethren in Christ,

Time flies so quickly. It’s been about two weeks since we came back to Thailand from Singapore. Thank God for preserving every one of us. Thank God especially for sustaining Dara during the long travelling that there was no body cramp throughout the whole journey. “Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand” (Psalm 121:4-5, KJV).

Life is adjusted back to daily routine: waking up at 5am; area cleaning at 5.15am; personal devotion at 5.30am; memorising the Scriptures at 5.50am. family worship at 6am; sharing & prayer at 6.45am; breakfast at 7am; milk the cows; students going to school at 7.30am; work starts at 8am; lunch; milk the cows again at 3pm; students coming back from school at 4pm; area cleaning; feeding the animals; stop work at 5pm; games/free time; dinner; personal time etc. View some photos here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/set=a.336366713068724.74292.100000861953050&type=1&l=95c3e2342c

Back here, the weather is still quite cold in the morning and night. No rain. It’s especially good for construction work. The rebuilding of the home is in good progress. Have just completed cementing the columns for level three. Working on the walls of level one while waiting for the columns to harden. May God continue to prosper the work of our hands. Do pray for wisdom and safety in the rebuilding of the home. As for our Church Building Project, we were told that there is a need to strengthen the foundation. Our Singapore engineer friends are looking into this matter. May God grant them wisdom to come out with a good solution! Let’s remember them and this project in our prayer. “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1-2, KJV).

As for Dara, thank God that there are no more side effects of hypothyroidism. However, there seems to be a swell somewhere in front of and behind her ears and is causing a bit of pain and numb. Will be bringing her to the doctor tomorrow (22 Feb). May God’s healing hand be upon her! Do continue to uphold her in your prayer.

Please also pray for:

* Evangel & Evangeline to be able to adjust back to life in Thailand and for discipline in their studies, music lessons and in carrying out all the other activities;

* Dara for wisdom in writing thesis, strength to cope with her works and good health;

* the children in their preparation for their final examinations on the second week of March;

* the physical and spiritual developments of all the residents at CHOL to be conformed to the image of Christ and for faithfulness in serving and living for God every day;

* our Thai contractor for recovery from mouth cancer and his treatment this coming Friday (24 Feb) and his salvation;

* the preaching of God’s Word at the Truth Bible-Presbyterian Church & the Christian Home of Love;

* the spiritual growth of the church members and for obedience to God and His Word.

Thanks again for your partnership in prayer!

“The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore” (Psalm121:7-8, KJV).
